S364MD polyester foam is recommended for acoustical applications. We have tested its capacity to absorb acoustical waves in the range of 100 Hz – 5 kHz (a frequency range to which the human ear is most sensitive to) and the ability to absorb noise within a range from 4 Hz to 20 kHz.

We recommend flat and profiled plates (the so-called waves and pyramids), which have a better sound absorption coefficient. The foams for acoustic applications can be fitted with a self-adhesive layer which makes their application easy and fast.

Foam based acoustic systems are best suited for recording studios, seminar rooms and home cinemas. Moreover, our acoustical foams perform very well in reducing noise generated by industrial machines, ventilation systems, power generators and other devices.
