Specific physical and mechanical properties of technical foams such as:

• possibility of flame and glue lamination using binding materials
• low flammability
• low fogging
• mechanical resistance
• resistance to organic solvents and detergents
• insulation or soundproofing properties

have contributed to the fact that these foams are mainly used in the automotive industry.

Technical foams used in the automotive industry can be combined with other PU foams, knitted fabric, PE foils, aluminium and aluminium covered foils, PCV (polyvinyl chloride plates) artificial leathers etc. There is also a possibility of spreading self-adhesive surfaces with glue or self-adhesive bands and closing the structure by slightly melting the foam surface.

Technical foams in this branch are mostly used in the form of:

• two or multilayer laminates
• laminates with the self-adhesive surface (ordinary plates or the ones rolled in beams)
• drawing profiles
• frame profiles
